Trouble sewing ****ny gold fabric

by Chris Bolus <chrisB@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Nov 21, 2006 at 06:27 PM

We have an almost-new Husqvarna Interlude 445, which is excellent all
round. However we are currently trying to sew some ****ny gold fabric on
an Elvis costume, and it just won't sew. Won't pick up the stitches.
We've tried every fabric setting, different stitches, different
tensions, all to no avail. Yet we've sewn this stuff on old sewing
machines before.

I'm not sure what the fabric is called, except that it's a very fine
stretchy base, something like lycra, with ****ny gold applied to one
surface.

Any ideas what we should do?
