Hi everyone!
I'm planning to make a cross-stitch / fabric / felt advent calendar. I
want to make little pouches of felt on a fabric background and put
little cross-stitched ornaments (star, stocking, santa, tree, etc) into
the pockets. What would be the best way of attaching the ornaments to
the outside of the pockets each day?
One idea is to have a small round of velcro on the outside of the
pocket and on the back of the ornament. But I feel the little velcro
circle (however much camouflaged with metallic thread) would spoil the
appearance of those pockets which are still unopened.
A friend suggested that I have removable openings, again with velcro
holding the flap in place. But again, there would be unsightly bits of
velcro at the four corners of the opening.
Any suggestions? Thank you.
