Curved needles?

by "Ben" <Benjamin.Barker@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jul 4, 2006 at 04:20 AM

Very basic question from someone who knows nothing about sewing...

I want to put a patch badge onto the front of a bag, but since it is
padded I have to do it by hand, as I can only get to one side of the
material. I asked a bloke in town, but since it wouldnt' go on his
machine he wouldn't do it. It sems to me that while doing this with a
straight needle on a mchine is almost impossible, a curved one and
doing it by hand would make it easy. Unfortunately needles are made of
hardened steel, so I can't just bend one...

Can someone wise in the ways of needles give me some advice?
