There may be a few other options for Internet... I've heard of land-based 
wireless where you point a transmitter at a tower atop a grain elevator 
or something and it's faster than dialup and not so high latency as 
Satellite.  I've done no research in to them, though.

Good luck, spotty fast internet is worse than reliable slow internet.
