Found a drawing of what is supposed to be the "Aurora", the top-secret
high-mach stealth fighter. This was inspiration for my own design. See
the binaries group for pictures. I think I did too good of a job with the
stealth part - it turned out it is very hard to photograph! It's made
from
BT20 body tubes and an Estes nosecone kit plus some cheap foam board. The
leading edges of all the fin surfaces have a 1/2" piece of typing paper
glued on so the foam board till not de-laminate during flight. It goes up
Sunday morning on a B6 at first, then maybe a C6. It's built so that if I
ever want to lose it, I can launch it on 3 engines, but I think I'll just
run it on one for now.
