That seems extremely heavy. Is it a fiberglass hull or wood? Is it racing
or
scale (tugboat, etc)? For a mono hull or catamaran racing boat I always
start with the CG at approx. 30-33% of the length of the hull from the
stern. On a hydro, I try to balance just at the rear edge of the sponsons.
