Im no guru on controllers and reasonably new to model boats tho have had
some years with 1/8th buggies.
I have just changed from AM to FM and use Jr's X3 transmitter and love
it. Being able to set the end points and sensitvity to steering etc,
makes setting up a breeze.
The other big advantage is when you buy the RS310 reciever that goes
with it, it has 12 selectable preset frequencies to match the TX, no
more crystal changing. If you dont want the expense of these little
rippers just a standard FM reciever will work with a crystal chosen to
match the TX. Available in 27MHZ
Unsure of the range it gives, but have not had the fail safe activate
yet!!:D
Check out JR's website, hope this helps.
Cheers, Mud.
