Thanks to all for the input.  I've several heard negatives 
about Spektrum radios in boats but only good things about 
Futaba and Airtronics.  I've ordered a Futaba 2.4 gh system 
for an airplane and I'm half way through building an 
electric rigger - I think I'll try using the new Futaba in 
the rigger and will post the results.
