Hi Folks,
just thinking of getting back to gliders which I havnt
really had time for since the 60's having spent many years building
scale sailing ****p models for museums and collectors, the one glider
that really took my eye when I saw newsreel footage of them on TV were
built in the 1930's in Germany and I believe took many champoin****ps and
world titles but i cant remember who designed or built them, the name
Colibri comes to mind and I know this company was engaged in small
aircragft/gyro manufacture at one time.
Any info on plans availablilty or idetification of these gliders would
be much appreciated, the airframes were almost visible through the
covering material and the wings looked as fragile as any dragonfly wing
and very beautiful in flight,
regards, Terry
