R/C Transmitter and Receiver

by thomcat1919@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Mar 24, 2008 at 06:49 AM

Hello:

I am building a project that will need multifunctional servo
capabilities and although I am a skilled builder I am not as
knowledgeable regarding R/C controls and possible capabilities.

I need to control the following functions;

1. A speed control forward and reverse

2. Device #1 with a slide On/Off function

3. Device #2 with a slide On/Off function

4. Rudder Control #1 Left and Right, 45 degrees each

5. Rudder control #2 Left and Right 45 degrees each

I think all servos will be intermittent use. All servos do not need
to be fast but need to have strength of duty.
( High or Low torque?)

I am looking for advice also on whether I need a 4 channel or six or
eight channel radio and receiver for this purpose. Also, the radio
signal (transmitter or receiver) needs to be ramped up in some way
since their will be interferance or some level of impedance to the
signal.

I am building a working submarine.

I would appreciate any advice I can get. I have the concept down pat
now I just need to make it work.

Thanks much.

Tom M.
