chinese NiMH cells

does anyone have experience using 9 Ah NiMH D cells? The Chinese ones 
are about $6 and SAFT cells are about $15. are the SAFT cells worth the 
2.5x cost difference? i'm going to use them on my ebike so i need a lot 
of them and the cost adds up quick.
