EDF Setup Recommendations

by Adam Sandler <corn29@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jul 16, 2008 at 02:35 PM

Hello,

I'm new to electric flight and I'm looking for recommendations in
setting up the power plant, mostly because I'm getting lost in all the
alphabet soup of abbreviations and specifications.

The model weighs about 1300g and uses a HET 6904 EDF unit. It comes
with a 3.17mm adapter.

I'm wondering, if this was your model, what motor, speed controller,
and battery pack would you put in it?

Also, can I run the receiver and servos off of the same battery pack?
Or does the motor cause interference? If a brushless motor is used,
does that mitigate the interference?

Suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
