Engine looks to be a Super Tigre, not a Thunder Tiger going by the model

A 90 sized 2 stroke on a 60 sized plane is a waste of engine. You want to
fly a plane, not an engine with fins if you get my drift. Also, Super
Tigres
are not what I would consider beginner's engines. They can be cranky to
tune
properly.
Also, going by your comments about "getting good", it looks like you are a
beginner.
An Edge of any kind is NOT a beginner plane by any stretch of the
imagination. You need a high winged trainer of some kind, either electric
or
..40 sized glow.
My advice would be to forego the Edge for now along with that engine and
get
an electric GWS Slow Stick to learn with. The radio you are looking at
will
work with that plane but you should get smaller servos such as Hitec
HS-55.
I have been flying RC for over 10 years and I STILL fly a Slow Stick each
and every outing to warm up on and shake out the cobwebs before I fly my
Edge 540 BP or Micro Stick or one of my kit built glow planes.
I think this particular Slow Stick to be my 5th. Most guys at my field
bring
one along.
Seriously, check into the Slow Stick.
