I have been through this a couple of times with a couple of clubs. How
close
are they to the field? Do flyers fly over their properties (this could be
the real problem) Do you have noise restrictions on models flown at the
field? If you do, are they enforced and are they strict enough?
Invite your local political representatives to the field to observe the
flying and do the same for your neighbours.
Take sound measurements from the locations of the complaints and do***ent
them.
Make sure that you have a club representative at all meetings regarding
this
matter.
Hope for the best.
We lost two fields because of noise complaints even though the noise
wasn't
measureable from the locations of the complaints. We found out later that
the real complaint was that models were flying in close proximity to the
houses and the neighbours rightly considered it dangerous. They followed
the
noise complaint as they thought that it was the easier route to be
successful..........they were correct.............unfortunately.
Good luck
