He has a project to make a model castle for school (Grade 7) and
decided he wanted to make it from wood. (Huzzah!)
Well, once the walls were being made of wood, he couldn't very well use
cardboard tubes for the towers, could he?
So today he was introduced to a roughing gouge, a bedan, a skew,
calipers, and wire on handles for burning marks. He made five damn fine
castle towers, in my unbiased opinion.
He even got past his nervousness on the bandsaw and oscillating sander!
Signed,
A. Happy Dad.
