Flood damage.....not as bad as over your way of course, but we had water in
the basement even though we have a sump pump and it was working.
I'm not a neat person, so I lost some stuff. I didn't realize it, but a
bag
with several cloth dolls I made had gotten wet. They molded and are a
total
loss. Lost some books-some out of print of course. Nothing like loosing
one's entire household though. I really can't complain.
We are considering converting our garage into a sewing room for me now. I
wouldn't have to worry about floods that way. We'd build a new garage on
the back side of the house. It's a dream for the moment though.
Time will tell with the machine, I do have high hopes!
