I am a member of Freecycle in my area, a great way to recycle your useable
discards and to pick up some great finds. Anyway, someone had a "****table
sewing machine" to give away and I got it. It is a Pfaff Hobby 4240 and is
perfect! I believe it is an older model with metal gears because it makes
that clickety click sound that is reminiscent of my old machines. If it
is,
it should be a real workhorse with little trouble to resolve. I need to
look
online for an instruction book since it must need oiling somewhere.
If you look up Freecycle you might be able to find a group in your area.
