What's this knot called?

by "Luke451" <luke451@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Mar 11, 2007 at 02:25 PM

Many folks tie the bowline with the help of the
old mnemonic, "Out of the hole, around the tree,
etc." Now, if one were to start with a single
crossing turn and then apply these steps using a
bight of rope rather than just the working end,
one would end up with a double loop. What
is this knot called?

It's not a bowline on the bight, nor a ****tuguese
bowline.
