Wow, you replaced the indoor unit with a top quality variable speed unit, 
yet you left the 18 year old condenser????

But back to your current problem, you're saying the tech is sloppy and got

**** into the system. Shame on them, twice!
First for selling you *part* of the system.
Second for having crappy installation practices.
