Sticky change over valve

by acforn@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Jun 18, 2008 at 06:44 AM

Just had a new Trane variable speed air handler installed,
to work with my Trane XL1200 Heat pump. The heat pump
is about 18 years old. Of course after turning things back on the
switchover vale seems to hang up in the cooling mode.
The installers did the best to keep things from dirt getting
where it should,but things happen.

They say that there is a lubricate to help the valve. out. Anyone had
any experince with this stuff. I will probably
end up getting a new unit, but just hope I can hold on for awhile. It
has given me not a bit of trouble, so It can be retired.
