I am hoping an electrician, or someone with greater knowledge than
myself can clear this up for me.
I recently bought a new house, and noticed that there are two
electrical boxes in the ceiling of my basement (unfinished). One is
marked =93Disposal=94 the other is marked =93Kitchen Bar=94. It looks as
though the electrician used the box to splice the wire going from the
fuse panel to the Disposal and Kitchen Bar. My problem is that when I
finish my basement, I am going to have to outlet covers in my ceiling
where these boxes are located.
My though is that the electrician may have taken an easy approach and
put these boxes in to connect these two sets of wires rather than run
a single wire from the bar or disposal to the fuse box. I=92m
submitting a warrantee list in a couple days to have a few other
things fixed and wanted to add this to the list, but wasn=92t sure if
there was possibly a reason an electrician may have done this?
